Alas I was hiking north of the city and came back late and bushed so missed festivities.
Read in today's Times that Michelle Wiles is leaving ABT. Truth? Give us the dope!

I have no details at all about Michele's departure. She was just one more talented dancer who McKenzie let down in a big way. He's got to go.
I read that she will be a guest artist this summer with a contemporary ballet company called Lemon Sponge Cake and will star in the premiere of "Anilla" out in Colorado. Here's a link to the article: http://www.dailycamera.com/ci_18386435
That's all I know.

I defer to your superior knowledge, because I really don't know anything about the inner workings of ABT. But I wonder if it has something to do with getting married. McK did promote her to principal. He gave her a big opp'ty that way. I don't know. I'll miss her. Her Myrtha was magnificently authoritative; as good as Martine Van Hamel - and that's high praise.

It may be that the personal changes in her life have given her the courage to make these decisions.

Sounds right.
