THEY DID IT! THEY BROUGHT IT HOME! I loved every moment watching Sarah and Joseph (except the Grigorovich lift, of course, but that's a technicality), who were exquisite in every way--technically beautiful, gloriously radiant, gorgeous "lines" on both of them. I couldn't have wished for a more beautiful last performance of the season. I've gone three times now, and each time it gets better, as there is so much to take in that it takes more than a single performance to see it all. I love Ratmansky's choreography as well as his charming sense of humor. All in all, a treasure. I'm definitely going again next year!

Oops, I almost forgot. Thank you, Haglund, for your wonderful blog. And thank you for posting so quickly on this performance. No ambivalence here. It would appear that the words just came pouring out, the performance was so exquisite.

EVERYONE had a fine performance today. The mice went a little nutzo with a new Rockettes kick line. The maids (Adrienne Schulte and Luciana Voltolini) were especially animated and very funny. Gemme Bond, Aaron Scott, Luis Ribagorda, Skylar Brandt, Blaine Hoven, Craig Salstein, and the entire ensemble gave fab performances today. Was watching Zhong-Jing Fang pour her heart out in Waltz of the Flowers - beautiful, beautiful!!

Guess nobody knew that Joey was injured in his performances on the 21st and 31st! Considering the pain he was in, spectacular performances!

Hey "a fan" - thanks for the heads-up about Gorak's injury. I hope he didn't aggravate it in either performance.

All things considered, he is even more remarkable than we thought! Hope he wasn't in so much pain that he missed all the noise from the audience.

He injured his right foot 3 days before the 21st and it was padded and taped for the performance. Two days before the 31st, he hurt his left foot (not as badly as the right), so he was dancing on two bad feet! He's amazing!

Thanks much for the info, "a fan". That would explain Joe's modest (by his standards) but still exquisitely formed assembles. We've been waiting what seems an eternity to see him get a shot at something big, and it was such a pleasure to be able to be in the audience when he got the chance. I hate to keep repeating myself, but he and Sarah were a dream together.
