Is this Ballet Etudes Company, by any chance, a continuation of the school and company founded by the late Russel Fratto?

Hi OLI!

Here's what the printed program says:

Ballet Etudes Company, formerly Sono Dance Company, was founded by Nanette Vallas in 1988. The original Ballet Etudes, founded by Russel Fratto in 1950, served as a model for Ms. Vallas in the creation of her non-profit regional performing company.

Hmmmm... Interesting! I knew Russel Fratto. The youth of today would probably characterize him as "awesome".

So true Haglund.

They are both beautiful dancers, but together, they are magical.

Jared should be dancing the Prince in ABT's Nutcracker.

I think so, too, Judy, but it seems that McKenzie wants to push the very odd-looking James Whiteside down our throats. I really wish Jared & Yuriko and Sascha & Stella and Luis & Sarah would move to other companies where enlightened directors would let them dance.
