NYT Culture Editor Jonathan Landman took the latest buyout offer that NYT made to reduce staff, and the executive editor says that Landman's replacement will be announced within two weeks -- the only replacement not named today. This means that Alastair Macaulay and his girl-goons will be editor-free for possibly two weeks. They could cause a lot of trouble during that time. Alastair might even resort to once again using the term balletomane which Landman took away from him because he constantly used it incorrectly and in a pejorative sense. Or, he might start up again with alas-this or alas-that.
