We have a new Caroline – Stella Abrera! She will debut in Tudor's Jardin aux Lilas on Wednesday, January 19th - the same performance at which Sarah Lane and Herman Cornejo will perform Theme and Variations,.and Maria Riccetto and David Hallberg will debut in Duo Concertant. It is very, very tempting to make that trip. Also, Isabella Boylston will be in the Reyes, Cornejo, Simkin cast of The Bright Stream at the Saturday and Sunday matinees!
They've switched the men in Jardin so that Julie Kent will dance with Thomas Forster instead of Cory Stearns who is now in the Abrera, Part, Krauchenka cast. How is it that Julie is the only ABT house ballerina who doesn't dance with Cory Stearns? Just asking. Julie had that one season several years ago as Caroline during which he was the male lead, but that's been it.
Anyway, congratulations to Stella, Sarah, Maria, and Isabella who have snagged some plums for the Washington DC run.
