The Joyce Theater Foundation is presenting Sylvie Guillem at the Koch Theater on April 4, 5, and 7 in a program of works by Mats Ek, William Forsythe, and Jiri Kylian. The evening is entitled 6000 miles away.
On the bill will be: 1) Forsythe's Rearray, a duet in which Guillem will dance with Massimo Murru from La Scala; 2) Ek's solo for Guillem is called Bye and is set to Beethoven's final piano sonata; 3) Kylian's 27'52" will be performed by dancers handpicked by him – that's exactly what the postcard says.
Tickets are $50 - $110 and can be purchased through the Koch Theater box office or its website.
