More than 10,000 tickets have already been sold for the performances in Montevideo.
Below is a rehearsal photo of Maria Riccetto and Ciro Tamaya from Julio's FB page. Tamaya is quoted in El Pais as saying, "[Maria] is divine. It is an honor to dance with her." No kidding. Those long, thin arms of hers will be divine in Swan Lake in August, too. Her opportunities next year also look pretty fine when Julio presents his new spectacular Don Quixote, Ashton's Marguerite and Armand, MacMillan's Romeo and Juliet, and Makarova's staging of La Bayadere.
Maria is exquisite. I hope she is very happy.
One of my great memories of transcendent dance is Maria and Renata Pavam another underrated dancer, doing the bomb squad in "In the Upper Room" a few years ago. I thought I was hallucinating during one performance, they were so amazing.

Hi dc.
Yep, I remember that performance, too.
Can you believe how lucky those dancers in Uruguay are to have Julio setting Don Q, R&J, and Swan Lake on them?

I hope the remaining flagship soloists at ABT take note...
Is it too much to ask for a small American tour from Ballet National Sobre?!

Hopefully she finally gets to wear her Nina ballerina Kitri tutu in Bocca's staging of DQ!

Wouldn't that make a great story?
