Here's the program for the September 17th gala event at City Center. Alina Somova in Excelsior with Bolle won't be remotely like a Petipa disaster, and might, in fact, be quite watchable.

So far, this looks like a fairly short program with a lot of the same type of twisty, gymnastic PdD that seems to enthral dancers who do it but bores/irritates ballet audiences. Haglund is going to hold off buying tickets for a while.
Several things have been added incl kochetkova/cornejo tchai pas :)

Thanks for new info. Petit's L’Arlésienne in its entirety is really worthwhile, but it appears there will only be an excerpt. The rest of the program looks uninteresting bordering on repelling, and it looks like we lost Bubenicek from the cast. Too bad Herman doesn't get to do a solo.

I would be down with that - but id love to see him dance tchai pas. The christian spuck piece is kinda fun but i dont like that twisty gymnastic type choreography either :/

I think my choice for that night will be Ed Watson's Metamorphosis at the Joyce, although there might be plenty of Kafka-ish stuff going on at City Center, too.
