Well, I was only able to go to the Sunday matinee of the mixed bill, and I was grateful for the opportunity to see Matthew Golding. What really struck me though was how male-centric the whole afternoon was. Guys, guys everywhere in everything, but not that many women. What gives?

I don't know, but it's a good question, Ellen.

Thanks for the review! Rare that you and AM agree on a few points. ;). What did you think of his piece on Sara Mearns? I haven't had the opportunity to see as much of her as I would like.

LOL, well it certainly sounded like it all had been building up in Alastair and finally just came tumbling out. I think local readers who do see a lot of Sara fully appreciate her. But whenever Alastair starts throwing around "the most" this and that, we have to let it go in one ear and out the other, because, well, it's Alastair....

That was an interesting write up, McCauley's story changes continuously to fit whatever narrative he seems to think needs weaving.

His article states that Mearns is a controversial dancer. But NO, i"ve never read any controversy regarding her. Not to the extent of say, Copeland. In fact it seems that he is projecting the controversy of Copeland onto Mearns. Now, we must ask, why he is creating this narrative of Sara Mearns causing an uproar (she clearly isn't but that isn't going to stop AM) at this point in time?

Its good to know he remains predictably catty. He had to waste a few lines critiquing her overuse of eyeliner...according to him.

They promoted Stella !!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!
