9:15pm: Bravo Teatro Colón. Hermosa producción de Sylvia!
Update 7:30pm Sat: If you're having trouble getting the video, try accessing the link on your phone. For some reason, we're having success with the iPhone but not on the iMac. Second update: The transmission popped up on the iMac screen after connecting to the phone's hotspot from the iPhone.
Oh, yes she is, and she'll be all dolled up and ready to dance. Pay no attention to her helmet, weapon, or legion of fiercerinas; she's all yours for the asking.
It seems that the Teatro Colon will livestream it's Saturday night performance of Frederick Ashton's Sylvia at 20:00 Buenos Aires time. That's 7pm New York. (Somebody please check that conversion and let us know if it's incorrect.)
This is the same production as ABT's and was set on the dancers at Teatro Colon by Ballet Mistress Susan Jones.
Cast for August 29th:
Sylvia – Macarena Martínez
Aminta – Fabrizio Coppo
Orion – Dalmiro Astesiano
Eros – Nahuel Prozzi
Diana – Paula Cassano
Extra treat: Here's the whole 25 page souvenir program with the dancers' bios. Well, yes, it's all in Spanish.
Go to this link on Saturday night and pray that it's not geo-blocked:

Thanks Haglund. I will be sure to watch. I have not seen Sylvia yet, so this will be a treat.

It would be wonderful to see this - if only Teatro Colon didn't geo-block the livestream. Oh well, I'll look at the Royal Ballet dvd.

Erica, try through your phone. I can't get the video on my laptop either, although the audio is wonderful, but it is not blocked on my iPhone!

Thanks for the tip--works on my phone too, but not the laptop.

Watched on my iPad with a hot spot connection. A few disconnects but generally fine. Thank you so much for letting us know about this. Wonderful. Loved seeing the Teatro Colon, gorgeous theater. How odd to see the intermission treated simply as curtain filler. No interviews or backstage chats. So glad they raised the camera at very end to see six levels of theater and the lovely ceiling.

Hi Barbara.
The Teatro Colon just started these livestreams on July 30th! I think this was only the 2nd or 3rd one. I'm sure they'll add the bells & whistles like intermission interviews later on, but I was very pleased with the camera angles and composition - much better than what the Bolshoi cinemacasts present.
Lovely, lovely dancers.

I think I noticed a cast change along the side bar of the website. Possibly Aminta, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else caught it.

Enjoyed seeing this ballet, and will look forward to more livestream presentations. I agree with you, Haglund, about the pleasing composition; the Bolshoi cinemacasts show too many close-ups of teeth, which I find distracting.
