At this time every year, we become so disgusted and frustrated with ABT's bald-faced cast lies and manipulation that we need an exorcism – an ABT exorcism. Well, Haglund has found just what we all need.
Back in 1974, the New York City Ballet Orchestra recorded Leonard Bernstein's complete Dybbuk for Sony Music with Lenny conducting. The whole shabang was uploaded to YouTube last year but it doesn't seem like many people know it's there. It is a thrilling score, particularly the Exorcism and The Community; Lenny borrowed from everybody. We cannot wait for this ballet to return to the NYCB stage this coming Friday.
