If you missed the Mariinsky's broadcast of the 2016 Vishneva/Ganio Giselle earlier this month, here's another opportunity to see it. Tomorrow evening (5/23) check out the Mariinsky TV webpage. Then on Sunday, Little Humpbacked Horse with Somova and Shklyarov will run again.
We can make it a Wheeldon Triple Header tonight, Haglund! San Francisco Ballet begins a week of streaming his “Bound to” with a number of heavenly solos and pas de deux. Yuan Yuan Tan, anyone?

Answer: Yuan Yuan Tan for everyone.
Thanks, Jeanette.

Also wondering if anyone else has watched Royal Ballet's Anastasia, or Pacific Northwest's staging of Swan Lake?
Posted by: Minkus | May 25, 2020 at 09:35 PM
I couldn't make it through either, Minkus. Anastasia is a sorry waste of principals (at least a half dozen) that somehow makes a bore of a tremendous story. It's basically just Osipova making sad faces at a creepy Thiago Soares as Rasputin.
I didn't make it nearly as far with PNB's Swan Lake, which was doomed not just by the poor film-job but by a dad-bod Siegfried that possibly never had a prime. I bailed just after watching him flap his arms and grit his teeth to get off the ground for the entrechats-sixs.
On a happier note, I then found this gem of a SL from the Mikhailovsky in 2012.

And tonight, I believe the English National Ballet is posting theirs.
