The Three Sides of Balanchine begins this week on NYCB's website and YouTube channel. This week's focus is on Prodigal Son. Best part: we're going to get to watch corps dancer Christina Clark preparing the role of The Siren. Haglund has been imagining her in this role for a couple of years. She's going to be a killer Siren when she's finally handed the red cape by NYCB. Watch her interpretation being born on Tuesday at 8pm. Maria Kowroski and Russell Janzen will be featured in the program as well.
On Thursday at 8pm, there will be a complete pre-recorded performance of Prodigal Son with Daniel Ulbricht and Theresa Reichlen in the leads. Prodigal Son/The Siren are among the best roles for each of these artists. So looking forward to this.
