NYCB announced its COVID Nutcracker plans. No kids under 12 will be in the casts although kids under 12 will be in the audience provided they can produce a negative COVID test. This will work out fine, but could be a heartbreaker for tiny dancers who turn 12 during the long Nutcracker run or rehearsal period. Maybe something can be worked out.

Haglund saw the premiere of Cornbread back in 2014 at BAM with a live performance of the Carolina Chocolate Drops. Tiler danced it with Robert Fairchild. (Sigh) Such a treat to have seen their performances together all those great years.
H! Thanks for the tix sale heads-up (Sept 21st) and recommendation for Twyla at CityCenter! It dosent say when they go on sale for the general public on-line, or in the old school brochure.
Looks really interesting.

I'm pretty sure that tickets go on sale to the general public on 9/21 -- per this on the website:
"Single tickets on sale now to members, before the general public on September 21"
https://www.nycitycenter.org/pdps/2021-2022/twyla-now/
I'm pretty excited about this program.

Hi Haglund: Will NYCB have a full orchestra for their opening night? Has it been resolved? Thank you.

I hope we'll have an orchestra. I haven't heard anything about the current status of negotiations. But, you know, these contests can get testy.
